31. Fresh Fluffy White Stuff

It started to snow today around 7pm. I got in the tub around 9:30, and when I got out, there was considerably more snow than when I had gotten in. It's now about midnight, and the snow is still coming down. Apparently we're supposed to get more soon too. Don't get me wrong here, I love snow. I'm a skier (though I have yet to get out this year), and the look of a fresh white snowfall is right up there with sex and chocolate. We're going skating tomorrow with the District, and my mister is coming too. I'm really excited.

I will be doing a collage of a month's worth of pictures, but I don't have it done right now. It will most likely go up tomorrow, Monday by the latest. Does anyone have any suggestions/wants for pictures? You can leave a comment or email me (theaudiochick[AT]gmail[DAWT]com).

-Cheers, wanna go play in my backyard? It's all nice a snowy. You know you wanna.

30. Musicals

Here's another one of those things that you might not know about me: I love musicals. Especially old ones. I also love old movies, but that's another story altogether. I watched Chitty Chitty Bang Bang tonight, you know, the one with Dick Van Dyke. It was awesome, and of course, as with all musicals, I now have the title song stuck in my head, but not all of it, just the main theme. It was an awesome movie, if not a little long (over 2 hours!), but I thought it was just a tad comical that there actually was an intermission (with music) and exit music.

Crap. McDonald's breakfast commercial, now I want McDonald's breakfast. I was hungry anyway, and now nothing will fill that craving. Damnit.

-Cheers. Bring me McDonald's breakfast would ya? I'd appreciate it.

29. To yoga, to yogurt, to rice and beans and cheese

To leather, to ____ If you got the reference, you can fill in the blank. I'm a fan of yogurt, I really like to put the Yoplait tubes in the freezer and eat them like freezies. I have a big tub of blueberry yogurt in my fridge right now, and today I decided to see how big a serving actually was. I had figured that I was eating well over a serving in one sitting, but apparently a serving is 2/3 cup, or about 175 grams. I got out my scale (which I usually use for yarn), and measured out what I would usually eat into a bowl and weighed it. My servings, we about half a suggested serving. So to celebrate my half serving of yogurt, I'm eating chocolate balls. I seriously need to eat better and start exercising more.

-Cheers, do something good for yourself. Mentally, physically or emotionally. Just do it.

28. Podcasting

I'm a podcast editor. I love what I do. It's a knitting podcast (go figure), and we have quite the number of listeners. I just got a raw file today when I got home, and I published it just a few minutes ago. It takes a whole lot of actual attention, which means very little multitasking. As a general rule of thumb, however long the actual raw file it, it takes me three times that to get it edited. Once I do manage to get it edited, I think compress it, and begin the task of finding music. I use the Podsafe Music Network, and generally just browse the Comedy section. I find the music, add it on to the end of the raw file, add in the intro, and a blooper at the end. Make an mp3 of the episode, and then upload it to Libsyn. From there I write a little blurb, publish, and copy the blurb onto the blogspot blog.

That's the basic quick version of how I do the podcast. If you're interested (and even non-knitters listen and love the podcast because there actually is very little knitting content) you can find the newest episode here, or you can search for "Lime and Violet" on iTunes.

-Cheers and check out the podcast! It's worth a look, and always good for a laugh.

27. Damn Theatres

I went to see Gran Torino tonight. The movie itself was absolutely amazing, I'm not a huge Clint Eastwood person, but as one of the guys said "He's me hero." The only thing was the film broke down not once, not twice, but three times. And then! Ooooohhhh, and then, when a worker came to give us free movie tickets, she did it while the movie was still playing. It did not make me happy. I can deal with the film breaking down once, shit happens. Two times, okay, something is up, I start to get a little upset. Three times, wtf people? It's not that hard, fix it! Anyways, the movie was amazing, I recommend you go see it.

-Cheers Toad.
