I really have to start being a better blogger. Truthfully, I need a bigger memory stick in my camera, 512 just isn't doing it for me right now. I'd also like some better weather, but as darling Miss Violet says, Mother Nature's Schizophrenic sister Marge has taken over and decided to give us 5 minutes of sun, 2 seconds warning and then torrential downpour with thunder and lightening.
On to knitting news! I finished the cotton pinwheel blanket with a picot edge. the edging along took nearly a full skein of yarn. I was amazed at how quickly it was eating up the stuff, but in the end it turned out great. I have yet to block it because we haven't had decent enough weather for me to do so. I also don't have any pictures at all of it. It's about 2 and a half feet in diameter, but please don't quote me on that because I haven't actually measured it yet.
I'm nearly done (just have the saddle closing) left to do on the Lime Druid mitt, and I'm very disappointed. It's not long enough by a landslide. It's wide enough, but seriously, either my hands are REALLY long (I know they're above average in length, but I can usually get away with standard length things) or my gauge was way off. I think it's the latter seeing as I didn't do a gauge swatch. I'll probably end up frogging the mitten.
And finished object alert! I got a book on Friday called "Creepy Cute Crochet". I fell in love with it the first moment I saw it, and instantly wished I could hook better. I flipped through it and carried it around for a bit, then I decided to just get it and to improve my hooking skills. Well, friday night I finished Mrs. Bones and because I had no tulle at home, I used a kleenex as the veil. Whatever works eh? And tonight I finished Mr. Bones. They each took about 3 hours, which for my hooking skills is not too shabby. ADONIS wants a Day of the Dead guy, so I think he will be my next project. But for now, may I present, for the first time ever, Mr and Mrs Bones!
-cheers and happy knitting!

I love the little skeleton couple! I should learn to crochet so I can make cute things like that.
