I swear it is. It's all Miss V's fault. She's the one who has addicted me to plurk. For those who don't know it's sort of like the status update thingy on facebook, but on a timeline with the ability to reply to the updates of your friends. I'm addicted. And there is a pattern (from Wendy) available to just plurkers. I got it, cast it on with the Patons Kroy that I had in my stash and love them. They're a bit wide, but that'll be fine considering I don't like really tight socks.
BTW, the Nanner socks (as they're referred to) are not alcoholics, they just enjoy an occasional social drink, or two, or ten...
