On to knitting news! I finished the cotton pinwheel blanket with a picot edge. the edging along took nearly a full skein of yarn. I was amazed at how quickly it was eating up the stuff, but in the end it turned out great. I have yet to block it because we haven't had decent enough weather for me to do so. I also don't have any pictures at all of it. It's about 2 and a half feet in diameter, but please don't quote me on that because I haven't actually measured it yet.
I'm nearly done (just have the saddle closing) left to do on the Lime Druid mitt, and I'm very disappointed. It's not long enough by a landslide. It's wide enough, but seriously, either my hands are REALLY long (I know they're above average in length, but I can usually get away with standard length things) or my gauge was way off. I think it's the latter seeing as I didn't do a gauge swatch. I'll probably end up frogging the mitten.
And finished object alert! I got a book on Friday called "Creepy Cute Crochet". I fell in love with it the first moment I saw it, and instantly wished I could hook better. I flipped through it and carried it around for a bit, then I decided to just get it and to improve my hooking skills. Well, friday night I finished Mrs. Bones and because I had no tulle at home, I used a kleenex as the veil. Whatever works eh? And tonight I finished Mr. Bones. They each took about 3 hours, which for my hooking skills is not too shabby. ADONIS wants a Day of the Dead guy, so I think he will be my next project. But for now, may I present, for the first time ever, Mr and Mrs Bones!
-cheers and happy knitting!
