I love Ottawa, I know I’ve said it before, but it’s so true. I went down by the Ottawa Locks today, and they were moving boats in. I hadn’t realised though that the locks aren’t electrically powered, they’re manual. It takes 4 people (2 on each side) to move the gears which move the lock doors, then the water moves in to raise the boats up to get into the Canal. It’s really neat in a geeky-dorky kind of way. But that fits me.

It is awesome that you are enjoying Ottawa so much. I moved there in 99 and fell in love with the place. I hated to leave a few years later to go back to school.
