48. Wonderful.

Great. Wonderful. Fantabulous.

I have just been sucked into the world of quilting. I bought some fabric squares yesterday, and between yesterday and today I have cut out more than half of the squares. I don't have a roatery cutter so all of this is getting marked out with pencil and ruler, and then cut out with scissors. It takes a fair bit of time, but it will be worth it. I figure that since each square is 4 inches along each side (with seam allowance) I will have 144 squares (16 of each pattern/color). With this I can make a square quilt that is 12 squares along each side. This will make it 4 feet by 4 feet. I also have managed to make 10 triangles from each pattern/color that are 4 inches along their longest sides. The only thing is, to make a band around the outside with the triangles I'd need at least 100 of them. Maybe I'll do an X through the middle of it. I have to draw this out, maybe that's what I'll do tomorrow night. We shall see.

The mister finished his dishcloth today! He got me to teach him how to cast off, and then voila! He was done. I'm really proud of him, and he is too. He has the right to be though, he did really really well for how little time he has been knitting.

-Cheers folks!
