54. A Sock with No Mate

Baaaaaahhhhhh. I'm a sheep. I've joined Twitter. You can find me there as theaudiochick. I'm theaudiochick mostly everywhere, so it's no surprise I suppose.

And now, I shall serenade you with my rendition of A Horse with No Name, called: A Sock With No Mate

On the first part of the journey
I was looking at all the yarn
There were knits and purls and ribs and things
There was gauge and rows and strings
The first thing I met was a sheep with a fleece
And the goat with no cashmere
The wool was hot and the cotton was cool
But the air was full of sound

I've been through the desert with a sock with no mate
It felt good to be out of the rib
In the desert you don't need your wool socks
'Cause the heat is so hot it will melt your brain
Bah, Bah ...

After two days in the ribbing cuff
My mind began to want more
After three days in the stocking leg
I was wanting it to end
And the amount there was of a sock that wont end
Made me think that something was wrong

I've been through the desert with a sock with no mate
It felt good to be out of the rib
In the desert you don't need your wool socks
'Cause the heat is so hot it will melt your brain
Bah, Bah ...

After nine days I let the heel be turned
'Cause the leg had come to an end
There were knits and purls and ribs and things
there was gauge and rows and strings
The sock is all done with it's kitchenered toe
And a stretchy hugging cuff
Will I ever cast on the second sock
Only EZ knows the truth

I've been through the desert with a sock with no mate
It felt good to be out of the rib
In the desert you don't need your wool socks
'Cause the heat is so hot it will melt your brain
Bah, Bah ...

And seeing as it's the 23rd of February, I suppose it's time for the January pictage (that's my way of saying photo montage).

-Cheers folks!
